Program Requirements:

  • Participants are required to attend all business coaching seminars.

    • Business seminars are held biweekly on Wednesdays.

  • Participants will use the services provided at Maker13 for a minimum of 4 hours per week during the length of the program.

  • Participants will sell a product within 3 months of the program's start date.

  • Participants will actively work on a business and sustainability plan with guidance from industry leaders.

Program Results:

  • Participants will graduate from the program with the following:

    • Finished Product

    • Completed Sustainability Plan

    • Business Entity Created

    • Program Completion Certificate

Business Coaching Seminars:

  • Participants are required to attend all the following seminars over a six-month period:

    • Welcome to the Make Your Move Program: Program expectations, Maker13 safety, and an introduction to writing a business plan

    • Drafting a Business Plan

    • Learn how to think like a business owner and focus on your talents.

    • Idea Generation: Research ideas/products and examine the competitive analysis

    • Let’s Be Legal: Setting up a Tax ID and business entity

    • Finances: Bank accounts and record-keeping

    • Budgets: Determine production costs, structure, and product logistics

    • Branding and Marketing: Learn social media and selling platforms

    • Sustainability: How to keep the momentum going.

    • Elevator Pitch: Public speaking tips and networking

    • Graduation: Ribbon cutting, product showcase, and celebration

  • Participants will meet Wednesdays at 6:00pm. The seminars will last approximately 2 hours. (Click here for seminar dates)
